A Little About Us...
Whatever you think you know about contractors - that’s not the Desrosiers.
The truth is, South Jersey natives Janis and Mike Desrosiers never intended to start a home renovation business. As a nurse and an operations manager in their day jobs, the couple spends most of their free time out on the water, enjoying the beauty that South Jersey has to offer, and cozying up at home with a good meal and a good movie. What brings them the most joy, however, is their ever-growing family: 6 children and their partners, 3 grandkids, and their 4 dogs. Janis and Mike have relished any occasion to gather everyone together as a family. But their greatest barrier to creating more memories with their beloved family? Their own home.
The kitchen was cramped.
The living room felt cut off from the rest of the house.
And full family dinners were nearly impossible - the dining room maxed out at 10 (and that’s with very little elbow room).
So room by room, Janis and Mike moved throughout their home, upgrading and redesigning. They found solutions to make their home feel cozy and comfortable for the couple by day, but also easily accommodate the frequent gatherings of 14+ people.
Mike felt excited and thrilled to bring back old construction skills he had honed in his younger years, and Janis was empowered to combine her meticulous planning methods with design. Together, the pair complemented each other’s strengths to the point that they realized, “we’re really good at this.”
And so Tanglewood Home Solutions was born.
Janis and Mike customized their house exactly for their needs, because ultimately, they cherish any quality time spent together - and where better to create memories than their own home? With Tanglewood, we want to offer everyone else in South Jersey the same opportunity: a space to live out each day exactly how you need it, fully utilizing and enjoying every inch with creative home solutions.
